The Flowerbox Project is a pictorial of the newly planted flowerbox Petunias and other garden projects around my house. Just click on a thumbnail pic to start the slide show. My Canon Powershot A85 is so much fun to use. I also highly recommend the Web Album Generator which made it fun and easy to make the web pic pages. There's a link to the web site inside the album pages.

I added three new Hungarian recipes:
Dill zucchini saute, Hungarian potato paprikas, and String Beans w/Paprika. They're my Mom's recipes from the old country. Very easy to prepare as well as delicious.

The Quacking Blog archive highlights the political news with emphasis on the vote fraud of the 2004 presidential election.

"Today, more than ever, it is critical for American citizens to understand the difference between the free-market capitalism that made our country great and the corporate cronyism that is now corrupting our political process, strangling democracy and devouring our national treasures."
-Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (12/11/03)

If you have any doubts or any questions about the impact of the Bush Administration on OUR country then I urge you to please read this RollingStone article by Robert F. Kennedy Jr.: Crimes Against Nature.

"There is no job that is America's God-given right anymore," Carly Fiorina, [now fired, how ironic] chief executive for Hewlett-Packard Co., said Wednesday. "We have to compete for jobs." (1/7/04)

Do you want to know what's happening to OUR jobs here in the US of A? Are you AWARE of the severity and scope of the issue? Please begin by checking the links I'm providing here. I plan to keep adding updates as I find them. This is about ALL our jobs, not just IT jobs:

Report: U.S. Lost 1.5 Mln Jobs to China in 1989-2003
"The study estimates that imports from China displaced 1.659 million jobs between 1989 and 2003, while exports to that country generated only 199,000 additional U.S. jobs."

I have added my list of favorite ambient music CDs: ambient music list to this site. These are the top 20 and I hope to add more. Also, this is one of my projects for my XML class (COMSC 155H) that I took at Diablo Valley College in Fall 2003. Also, check out my MathML (Math Markup Language) page which is useful for rendering complex math equations on a web page. This page is also an example of the hybrid XHTML language which combines HTML with XML. It provides the best of both worlds. Rendering MathML in XHTML in IE6 for Windows 98/ME (for techies only). Warning: since these pages are written in cutting edge technology you must use either IE 6.0 or Netscape 7.0 to view them. I also hear that they may crash the NS browser on Mac OSX.

I have added my personal vignettes to the site. These are true experiences that I wrote little whimsical stories about.

MULTM 130: Intro to Digital Audio: Download my MP3 final project sound story: "DonutTime -- The Rise and Fall of a Small Coffee Shop" which is the culmination of all my work for this class at Diablo Valley College. Download DonutTime.mp3 (5.2MB)

See also my DonutTime production notes on making this MP3. Also available are the class notes in PDF format and course assignment schedule.

Vegetarian Recipes: My favorite vegetarian dishes. The Hungarian recipes are from my mom who came to the United States with my father and brother after the 1956 revolution in Hungary.

The Color Table: Check out this cool hexadecimal color chart which came in handy when designing this web site.
